My gums have been bleeding a lot and dentist suggested scaling/cleaning. But im 18 weeks and a bit scared to get any dental work done now. Did anyone get it done safely during pregnancy?
Yes dear, it is safe. After my IVF journey, I was scared of even a tiny dental visit, but my doctor explained that gum infections can actually be risky, so scaling is good. Just let your dentist know you are pregnant.
Don't worry at all, teeth cleaning or scaling is totally safe and actually prevents gum bleeding which is common in pregnancy. Just avoid any X-rays and lie down comfortably. Take care of yourself!
It's safe, but make sure your overall health is in check. When I had thyroid issues, my doctor kept a close eye on everything, including dental health. Just consult your gynac once before booking the dentist appointment.
Haan, bilkul safe hai! Bas apne dentist ko batana ki pregnancy chal rahi hai taaki woh safely karein. Second trimester me karwana sabse comfortable hota hai na.
