We just found out im pregnant, around 6 weeks now, and honestly both of us are scared to be intimate in case something happens to the baby. Nobody really talks about this openly. Was it safe for you all in the early weeks?
After my earlier loss my doctor advised me to be careful in the first trimester, so we waited. It really depends on your history. Please do confirm with your own gynac, dont go by general talk.
For a normal healthy pregnancy it is generally safe, the baby is well protected. With both mine it was fine in early weeks. But if you have spotting or any pain, hold off and check with your doctor first.
It depends a lot on your own pregnancy. I had a low lying placenta once and was told to avoid it. So please ask your gynac about your specific case before assuming, every body is different.
I was shy to ask this also, so thank you for posting. From what my doctor gently told me, it is okay in a normal pregnancy. Felt relieved to hear it is a normal thing to wonder about.
In most uncomplicated pregnancies doctors say it is fine. The exceptions are bleeding, history of miscarriage or certain placenta issues. Safest is just a quick word with your gynac at your first visit.
