Bit of an awkward one to ask but here goes. We are both kind of scared it might harm the baby so we have been avoiding it. Im in second trimester now, everything normal so far. Just want to hear what others did.
In a normal healthy pregnancy it's generally considered safe, the baby is well protected. But every pregnancy is different so I'd say just confirm with your own gynac, especially if you have any complications. Mine said it was fine for me.
It was fine throughout for me in both pregnancies, doc never restricted it. Just be gentle and stop if anything feels off like cramping. Listening to your body matters more than any rule.
Yaar it's a normal question, don't feel shy. If your pregnancy is going smoothly it's usually okay, just go with comfort and what feels right. And whenever in doubt, a quick word with your gynac clears it.
For me the doctor advised to avoid it because I had a low lying placenta and some spotting. So please don't just go by general advice, ask your doctor about your specific situation. If there's bleeding or pain, definitely check first.
It's a very natural part of life and generally okay in a healthy pregnancy. My doctor told me to simply avoid it in the last few weeks. Talk to her openly, no need to feel awkward about asking.
