Im around 6 weeks and getting this sudden sharp pain in my lower back, comes and goes. Thoda scared because its early and i dont want anything wrong. Is this normal in starting or should i get it checked?
Please do not ignore sharp pain. I had severe complications in my first trimester and learned that any sharp pain should be checked by a gynac immediately to rule out ectopic pregnancy. Better to get a quick ultrasound and be safe.
Oh dear, dealing with pain along with early pregnancy exhaustion is so tough, I really feel for you. While some ligament stretching is normal, sharp pain isn't something to ignore. Please call your doctor, and in the meantime, try to rest on your side with a pillow between your knees.
I am in my 2nd trimester now and I remember having some lower back aches early on, but they were never very sharp. Did anyone else here feel sharp pain instead of a dull ache? Pls check with your doctor just to be absolutely sure everything is fine.
While a mild backache can happen due to progesterone, sharp pain is not something to ignore at all. I had to be extremely careful with my health and diet because of my gestational diabetes, and I learned that any sudden sharp discomfort should be directly reported to your gynac. Please get it checked soon.
I just delivered last month and remember having terrible backaches, but my doctor had warned me that if the pain is ever sharp or on one side, I must report it immediately. Please call your doctor's clinic and explain how the pain feels so they can guide you.
I am in my 12th week now and occasionally get mild aches, but is yours a constant sharp pain? Honestly, if it's really sharp, my gynac said we should report it immediately. Have u spoken to your doctor or had any bleeding along with it?
My doctor told me that hormonal changes can affect our muscles and joints, but sharp pain is a red flag that needs a doctor's visit. Since regular follow-ups are so crucial in early pregnancy, please let your gynac know about this today itself so they can check your levels and do a scan.
Listen to me, don't panic, but sharp pain in the early weeks needs to be looked at. A mild dull ache is fine, but sharp pain means you should call your gynac right away to be safe. Lie down, drink some water, and get in touch with your clinic, okay?
I don't want to scare you, but please take this seriously and contact your doctor immediately. After my miscarriage, I realized that any sharp pain or unusual cramping in early pregnancy must be evaluated by a professional right away. Sending you so much strength and prayers.
With twins, my back was screaming from day one, but it was a heavy dull drag, not a sharp pain. Sharp pain in the early days is definitely something you should run by your gynac right away. Don't play detective on Google, just give your doc a call.
