Im in my third tri and a friend told me squats help for normal delivery. But our toilet at home is indian style anyway so im already squatting daily haha. Is it actually good or can it strain something? want to be sure.
Light squats can be helpful in later months, I did them holding onto something for support. But dont overdo and dont do deep ones if u feel pressure. If u have any issues, clear it with ur gynac first.
Many find squats helpful for labour prep, but it really depends on ur individual pregnancy. I'd not start anything new without running it by the doctor. They know if it's safe for u specifically.
For me with my history the doctor told me to avoid certain exercises, so honestly please ask ur own gynac before squatting. What's good for one pregnancy isnt for another. Safety first na.
My prenatal trainer said gentle supported squats can help open the hips and are good for labour prep, but only if ur pregnancy is normal. I always checked with my doctor before adding anything. Form and balance matter a lot.
