We are a seafood loving family and squid is my fav. Now that im 11 weeks im scared to eat it. Heard seafood needs caution in pregnancy. Is squid okay if cooked properly or should i skip it completely?
Ghar pe my mother-in-law was very skeptical about me eating squid because they prefer traditional simple meals. But I made sure it was freshly bought and cooked really well at home. It's totally fine to have occasionally if it's well-cooked!
Yes dear, squid is safe to eat during pregnancy because it has low mercury levels compared to other seafood. Just ensure it is cleaned properly and cooked thoroughly, and avoid raw or undercooked preparations. Enjoy your meal in moderate amounts!
I completely understand wanting to eat your favorite seafood but worrying about the baby's safety. Yes, squid is generally safe as it is low in mercury, but please make sure it is fully cooked and fresh. Take care of yourself, mama!
Squid is safe and actually a good source of protein, provided it is fully cooked to avoid any foodborne infections. Raw seafood is a strict no-right now. However, it's always best to ask your doctor if it suits your current diet plan.
