my next checkup is the sugar test one and im a little nervous. i have heard from a few aunties that it goes up on its own in pregnancy. is that true for everyone or only some? just curious.
My doc explained that pregnancy hormones make the body less sensitive to insulin so sugar can rise even in women who never had it before. Thats why they do that sugary drink test mid pregnancy. Mine was normal but she said its very common, nothing to panic about, just get tested.
Yes it can, for some women sugar levels do go up during pregnancy due to hormones, thats how gestational diabetes happens. I got it in my second trimester and didnt even feel anything, only the test showed it. So pls dont skip that glucose test they give around 24-28 weeks, its important.
Haan ho sakta hai, sugar pregnancy mein badh jata hai kuch logo ka. Mera thoda high aaya tha to doc ne sirf diet change karwayi, sweets band, walks zyada. Test zaroor karwa lena na, easy se control ho jata hai.
I used to panic about this so much. But honestly worrying doesnt help, just go for the routine test and eat balanced. If it does increase they manage it with diet mostly, my cousin controlled hers fully with food only.
