My doctor started me on susten in early weeks and im a bit anxious since its my first pregnancy. Just want to feel reassured that its commonly given and okay. Anyone else was on it?
I was given it too when we were trying and in early pregnancy. It is a standard support medicine, but I never adjusted the dose myself. Whatever your doctor decides for your case is what to follow.
From what my gynac told me, Susten is progesterone support often given to help maintain the pregnancy, especially in early weeks or after treatment. She was specific about the dose and route for me. So its widely used, but always per your own doctor's instruction.
I was on Susten for a good while during my IVF pregnancy and my doctor monitored me closely, it is very commonly prescribed. Please take it exactly as your doctor tells you and dont stop suddenly. I know the worry, but trust your doctor's plan here.
