I used to swim regularly before and really miss it. Now im 18 weeks and wondering if i can start again or its better to avoid. Anyone here who swam during pregnancy?
After my IVF journey, I was extremely cautious about everything. Swimming is great, but please check with your doctor before diving in, just to be 100% sure your cervix and pregnancy are stable. Take it very gentle.
I felt so weightless and happy when I went for a light swim in my second trimester, my back pain literally vanished. But I made sure to ask my doctor first. It honestly felt like the only time my body didn't feel heavy!
It's a fantastic low-impact workout, but only if your doctor has given you the green light. If swimming feels too much, even light walking or pregnancy yoga can keep you fit. Never do any strenuous strokes though.
Actually, my doctor said it's safe, but I am still a bit scared of slipping or catching an infection from public pools. Has anyone else done swimming in their 2nd trimester? Would love to know if it's really safe.
It is safe for many, but because of my high-risk condition back then, I avoided it. I only stuck to very gentle walks. Now post C-section, I am finally starting to feel active again, so listen to your body and your doctor.
Swimming is amazing during pregnancy! 🏊♀️ It is super safe and actually helps with swelling too. Just ensure the pool is clean and don't push yourself too hard. Have fun! 😊
Listen, swimming is fine but don't go to crowded public pools where hygiene is bad. Infections are very risky right now. And definitely ask your gynac first, don't just jump in because someone else did.
Since I had some complications in my early weeks, my doctor strictly advised against swimming. Every pregnancy is different, so please don't take any risk without consulting your own doctor first. Safety is key.
