Honestly i crave imli so badly these days, the sour thing is real in first trimester. But im a bit scared if having too much tamarind is okay for baby. Anyone else craving sour stuff?
We use imli in almost every dish down south so a normal amount in cooking is totally fine. My amma said it even helps with the nausea cravings in early days. Just dont eat raw tamarind by the handful, in food it's lovely.
Beta, in cooking imli is absolutely fine, we ate it all our lives. Some say small amounts even ease morning sickness. Just dont go eating big lumps of raw tamarind, everything in balance.
