Doc has written taxim o 200 for me but i forgot to ask if its fine since im 16 weeks. Now sitting at home with the tablet and thoda hesitant to take. Has anyone taken this during pregnancy? i'll confirm with my gynac too.
Always ask your doctor before taking any such strong medicine. For small issues like cold or sore throat, simple warm water with salt gargles are much safer first steps.
My doctor told me that Taxim O belongs to the cephalosporin class which is usually safe in pregnancy, but the dosage and duration must be decided strictly by your gynecologist.
Please don't take any antibiotics like Taxim O on your own right now. Even if I'm too tired to move, I still call my doctor before swallowing any pill.
