I had a bad skin issue before I knew I was expecting and someone in my family suggested this. Now im confused if its okay or not in pregnancy. Will check with my doc na but wanted to know if anyone has been told about this.
I got so scared reading this because I had taken some antibiotic before I knew I was pregnant. My doc reassured me it was fine, but she said avoid tetracycline now. Just check with urs okay.
This one I actually remember, my gynac specifically told me NO to tetracycline group during pregnancy, said it can affect baby's teeth and bones. So pls avoid and ask doctor for a safe alternative.
Tetracyclines are generally a no during pregnancy from what I always heard, there are safer antibiotics docs use instead. So dont take it on ur own, get the doctor to pick the right one for u.
I would be very careful here. When I had an infection my doctor changed my antibiotic the moment she knew I was pregnant. If someone gave u tetracycline without knowing, call ur gynac today itself.
