Is there any harm to do swimming while conceiving?
We are trying for baby and i love swimming, do it almost every week. Just got little worried if it can affect chances of conceiving in any way. Is it fine to continue or should i stop, pls share.
When you're trying to conceive, especially if you're going through something like IVF, every little decision feels huge. Swimming is generally considered a safe and low-impact exercise. However, it's always, always best to check with your fertility specialist or gynecologist. They can give you personalized advice based on your health.
Harm? Nah, swimming is pretty good exercise usually! Unless you're like, doing competitive laps or swimming in a dirty puddle, you should be fine. But seriously, if you're actually trying, just give your gynac a quick call to confirm your workout routine. Better safe than sorry, and then you won't overthink it at 3 AM like I do everything else!
Oh, I was wondering the exact same thing! I love swimming and want to keep it up when we start trying. I've heard it's usually fine, like a good way to stay active, but I'm also a bit worried about things like chlorine or infections. It's so confusing sometimes!
For anything related to conception or pregnancy, my rule of thumb is always to check with your gynac first. While swimming is generally a low-impact exercise, they might have specific advice based on your health or if you have any particular concerns. It's best to be safe and get their green light.
Generally, light exercise like swimming is good for you, even when trying to conceive. My doctor actually encouraged maintaining a healthy lifestyle. But make sure the water is clean and not too hot. Always discuss your exercise routine with your gynac, especially if you have any underlying conditions like thyroid, so they can guide you best.
