Is there any possibility of pregnancy after getting periods?
I got my period this month, it came normally. But i had some symptoms before that made me wonder and now im confused. Can u still be pregnant even after a proper period came? little anxious tbh.
I was confused about this too. The thing is some women have ovulation soon after their period ends, so having sex in those days after your period can lead to pregnancy. If you are trying, the days after period heading into mid cycle are actually important.
Just be careful not to assume the timing is safe, especially if your cycles are irregular like mine were. Ovulation can shift, so pregnancy after periods is definitely possible. If you are unsure whether something was a real period or spotting, take a test or check with a doctor.
If you had a proper full period, pregnancy from before that is very unlikely, a real period usually means you are not pregnant from that cycle. But you can absolutely get pregnant after your period ends if you have sex in your fertile days that month. So yes, after periods there is a possibility for the new cycle.
My gynac explained it this way, a genuine period generally rules out pregnancy from that earlier cycle. But once your period is over, ovulation comes a week or two later, and sex around then can lead to pregnancy for the new cycle. She said sperm can also survive a few days, so the fertile window is wider than people think. If your bleeding was unusually light, she said still do a test to be safe.
