My MIL made til laddoo and gave me but then someone said til is not good in early months, garmi karta hai. Now im a little confused. Is it actually fine to have or should i avoid for now?
Lot of the til myths arent really proven, but moderation is the sensible line. As part of normal cooking its fine. If you have any high risk pregnancy do confirm with ur doctor.
Beta, in our time elders used to say avoid too much til in early months, especially raw. Later it is taken in moderation in winters for warmth. Thoda kha lo if u like but dont overdo, and check once with ur doctor na.
There are so many old beliefs around til being heaty. Honestly a little in your laddoo or sabzi is fine, just not handfuls daily. I had it in winters with both kids, no issue, but moderation.
At home they always told me first trimester thoda avoid karo, later normal quantity is ok. I followed that calmly but I also asked my doctor and she said small amounts are fine. Listen to ur gynac for ur own case.
