My job involves a lot of walking around and im only 6 weeks in. Now im a little worried if all that movement is too much this early na. Did walking a lot cause anyone any problem?
I remember being so paranoid about every little thing in early pregnancy! My doctor always said that continuing your usual activities, like walking, is generally encouraged as long as you feel comfortable and it's not strenuous. Unless you have specific complications, normal walking is good. But always, always listen to your body and your gynac.
Oh, the early pregnancy fears are so real, aren't they! You worry about every single thing. Generally, gentle walking is actually beneficial unless your doctor has specifically advised against it due to a medical reason. Just make sure you're not overexerting yourself or feeling any pain. Listen to your body, rest when you need to, and drink plenty of water. You're doing great, mama.
I'm in my first trimester and I try to walk a bit every day, but I get tired so quickly! I was wondering the same thing. My doc said light activity is fine, but I sometimes worry if I'm pushing it. Does anyone else feel super exhausted after even a short walk?
See, the main thing is not to do anything that might cause a problem, because hospital visits and tests are so expensive! So, while walking is generally fine and even recommended, if you feel tired or lightheaded, don't push it. Especially in early pregnancy, it's better to be safe than sorry. My gynac always said, 'if it doesn't feel right, don't do it.' No need to take risks.
Oh, early pregnancy and morning sickness, walking felt like a marathon for me some days! Honestly, 'too much' is subjective. If you're feeling good and it's a normal walking pace you're used to, it's usually fine. But if you're feeling tired, dizzy, or having any discomfort, just listen to your body and rest. Don't push yourself, there's no prize for overdoing it.
My mother-in-law would always say 'don't walk too much, rest now,' especially in the beginning. But my doctor said light walking is actually very good for circulation and helps with mild discomfort. As long as it's not strenuous, and you are not getting tired or breathless, it should be perfectly fine. Just don't overdo it, and always trust your doctor's word above all.
