Is travelling safe during first month of pregnancy?
I just found out I'm pregnant and it's my first month. We have some travel plans coming up, and I'm wondering if it's generally considered safe to travel by car during the very first month of pregnancy?
The first month is filled with so many mixed emotions and worries. It's usually fine to do normal travel, but please take it very easy, don't carry heavy bags, and check with your doctor to be safe.
Generally, short and smooth car trips are fine, but long journeys or bumpy train rides should be avoided in the first month. It is always best to check with your doctor first to ensure everything is stable.
When I was in my first month, I felt so paranoid about every little bump on the road. I decided to cancel my outstation trip just for peace of mind. Honestly, ask your gynac first.
I am in my second trimester now, but in my first month, I completely avoided long travels because of mild cramping. Are you planning a long road trip or just a short commute?
I only did my light walking and yoga after my gynac approved it, and the same goes for travel. In the first month, the pregnancy is very delicate, so please ask your doctor before planning any trips.
