I drink the tropicana orange juice almost daily, mostly for vitamin c and to feel fresh. Now suddenly im second guessing the packaged ones bcz of sugar and preservatives. Anyone been having it during pregnancy without issue?
I just had my baby last month, and my gynac strictly told me to avoid packaged juices like Tropicana because of gestational diabetes risk. Fresh juice without sugar or just eating the fruit is so much better, trust me.
I totally understand how hard it is to manage cravings and health right now dear. Tropicana has lots of added sugars which isn't great for the little one, so maybe try fresh coconut water instead? Sending you so much love and strength!
Oh I get it, during my first trimester I couldn't keep anything down and cold sweet drinks were the only thing that felt good. If it helps with your nausea, have a little bit, but try to switch to fresh home juice or whole fruits when u feel slightly better.
When I was pregnant, my mother-in-law used to make fresh juices at home because packaged ones have preservatives. Tropicana won't harm you if you have it occasionally, but fresh fruits are always best for baby's growth.
Honestly packaged juices have way too much sugar and no fiber. If you are busy, just grab a whole orange instead, it takes the same time and is much healthier. Tropicana is ok once in a while but don't make it a daily habit.
Ugh, pregnancy cravings are wild, but honestly Tropicana is just sugar water. I used to drink it sometimes when I was too lazy to chew, but fresh sweet lime juice is much safer. Save your sugar quota for actual chocolates!
I kept googling every single ingredient in packaged drinks during my pregnancy, it was so exhausting! Tropicana has preservatives and high sugar, so I completely avoided it out of fear. Please ask your doc if it's fine for you, just to be safe.
