First trimester here and my MIL keeps saying too many scans are not good for baby. Now im second guessing my upcoming one. Is there any truth to this or just old talk?
I did scans in both my pregnancies, no issues. Its standard and done for a reason. Just dont go getting random scans for fun, follow what doc schedules.
Beta in our time scans were rare and we managed, but today its part of normal care and keeps baby safe. So no need to fear it, just go when doctor calls u.
I worried about this same thing yaar, kept thinking is it ok. But doc reassured me its safe and important to track baby. Trust ur doctor on when its needed.
My doctor explained scans use sound waves not radiation, so its not like xray. They keep it short and only when required. I felt much calmer after she explained it like that.
From what my gynac told me, scans done by doctors are considered safe and they only do them when needed. I wouldnt go for extra unnecessary ones, but the routine ones are fine.
