We have been trying for a few months and someone mentioned that certain lubricants can affect things. Now im not sure if its ok to use or it lowers our chances. Bit embarrassing to ask but anyone knows?
Use only the ones marked sperm friendly or fertility lubricant when u r trying. The regular ones can interfere. Easily available at chemist or online, just read the label. Dont be shy to ask ur gynac about it.
My gynac told me normal lubricants can actually slow down the sperm, so when trying she suggested a fertility friendly one specifically meant for conceiving. So not all are good. Better ask ur doctor which type is okay to use.
We had this exact doubt when we started trying. I read that regular ones may not help while conceiving, there are special TTC safe ones. We just checked with the doctor to be sure, felt better that way.
I can only share what we did, we switched to a conception safe lubricant after reading about it. Cant say whats right for everyone though. Your gynac is the best person to confirm for ur case.
