Having a lot of burning while peeing and doc says its a UTI. Im 14 weeks and she prescribed some antibiotic but im scared about taking it in pregnancy. Did anyone take these safely?
UTI needs proper treatment during pregnancy, but please never take any antibiotic on your own. Some are safe and some are absolutely not. Only your gynac can prescribe the safe ones after seeing your urine report.
I had a bad UTI in my second trimester. My doctor gave me pregnancy-safe antibiotics and it cleared up in 5 days. Don't worry, untreated UTI is more risky for the baby than the doctor-prescribed antibiotics.
Oh, UTI with morning sickness is the absolute worst combination, I feel you. Please drink plenty of water and coconut water, but also call your doctor immediately. They will give you safe antibiotics that won't harm your baby.
Actually, untreated UTI can cause complications, yaar. So antibiotics are necessary, but only the ones prescribed by your gynac. Don't google and take anything on your own, just call your doctor.
My saas told me to drink barley water and cranberry juice, which helps a lot. But for antibiotics, my gynac strictly said only to take what she prescribes. Please don't take any old medicine lying around the house.
