I'm 5 months and my daily commute is on a really bumpy road, the auto shakes so much my whole stomach feels it. Now im scared if all that vibration is harming the baby somehow. Anyone travelled rough roads while pregnant?
Beta dont overthink this. A little shaking from travel or appliances wont harm the baby. Just be a bit careful with very long rough journeys and youll be perfectly fine.
My doctor explained that the womb has cushioning fluid so small vibrations dont reach baby. What she warned about was prolonged whole body vibration like long distance bike rides on rough roads. So phone, vehicles for short trips, household machines all okay.
I had a low lying placenta in my first tri so my doc told me to avoid long bumpy rides and any strong vibration. If you have any specific condition pls check with your gynac, dont go by general advice.
Normal vibration like phone or a mixer at home is nothing to worry about yaar. The thing to avoid is long bumpy travel on bad roads or heavy machinery type vibration for hours. For day to day stuff totally fine.
Actually I asked my gynac same thing because of my daily auto rickshaw rides. She said occasional jerks are okay, body protects the baby well. Just dont sit through 5 hour pothole roads daily and you good.
