Someone in my family suggested i start a vitamin c tablet for immunity now that im pregnant. But im already on the tablets my gynac gave, so confused if adding extra is even needed or okay. anyone taking it?
My little toddler keeps me on my toes now! Back when I was pregnant, I asked my doctor about Vitamin C and she said a balanced diet is enough unless there is a deficiency. Just trust your gynac's prescription.
I didn't take any extra Vitamin C tablets, I just made sure to have one lemon water or orange daily. My doctor told me my regular prenatals had enough nutrients anyway.
Naturally getting Vitamin C from amla or oranges is great! But for actual tablets, please check with your doctor first. Also, make sure you get enough light walks daily, but only if your gynac has cleared you for it.
I am currently planning to conceive and my doctor told me to start folic acid, but I'm curious if Vitamin C tablets are also needed. Did your doctor prescribe them to you, or are you just planning to take them?
I had a super busy schedule, so I just asked my gynac to list all daily supplements. Don't start any Vitamin C tablet on your own; let your doctor decide if you need it or if your prenatal multivitamin already has enough.
