Just got my positive, around 7 weeks. I used to walk every evening before and want to continue but now im scared even small things will affect the baby. Is walking safe in these early weeks or should I slow down? pls share.
Walking is one of the best and safest things in early pregnancy if your doctor has cleared you. I did 20-30 mins gentle walks daily, kept me active and helped digestion and mood. Just dont push into breathlessness and stay hydrated.
Yes walking is great and gentle on the body. I kept it up both pregnancies, just an easy pace, nothing strenuous. Helps with sleep and constipation too. If you have any complications though, get your gynac to okay it first.
Light walking is usually good, but I was put on rest early due to spotting so for me it was a no for a while. So it really depends on your case. Please confirm with your gynac before starting any routine.
I walked regularly through my pregnancy and I do feel it helped me stay comfortable, but everyone is different so no pressure. Just easy walks, not racing. My doctor encouraged it for a normal pregnancy like mine.
