Is white discharge normal during first month of pregnancy?
I am around 5 weeks and noticing white discharge on and off. There is no bad smell but it makes me anxious because everything is new. Did this happen to anyone in first month?
Yes, absolutely! I had white discharge almost throughout my first trimester, and it was completely normal. My doctor said it's just the body preparing itself for the baby. Just make sure it's not smelly or yellowish/greenish, then you're totally fine.
While a certain amount of clear to milky white discharge is normal due to hormonal changes in early pregnancy, it's always safest to get it checked by your gynaecologist. Especially if you notice any itching, odour, or change in consistency. It helps rule out any potential infection early on and gives peace of mind.
Haanji, white discharge toh bahut common hai first month mein, especially in pregnancy. Hormones ki wajah se hota hai. Mein toh panty liners use karti thi, aur apni hygiene ka bohot dhyan rakhti thi. Bas agar colour change ho, smell aaye, ya itching ho, tab doc ko dikhana.
Oh, yes, I remember that! It can be a bit concerning when you notice changes, but clear or milky white discharge is very common in early pregnancy. It's your body beautifully adapting to pregnancy. Just keep an eye out for any discomfort or changes, and always feel free to talk to your doctor about any worries.
Because of my complications, I was advised to report any discharge changes immediately. While normal white discharge can be common, if it's excessive, has an odor, or is accompanied by itching or burning, it's important to consult your doctor to ensure it's not an infection that could lead to further issues.
