I keep getting yeast infection on and off and we are trying for a baby right now. Now im worried if it will come in the way of conceiving or harm anything. Anyone faced this while ttc?
I had this when we were trying and asked my doc, she said it doesnt really affect conceiving directly, just treat it and you are good. So dont panic that its blocking pregnancy.
Yeast infection itself usually doesnt stop you from conceiving, but its uncomfortable and best treated before you try. I would get it checked and cleared by gynac first, then continue trying peacefully.
It can cause itching and discharge which is annoying. For prevention keep the area dry and cotton undies, avoid too much sugar. But for treatment dont use any cream randomly, let the doctor prescribe, specially if planning pregnancy.
Better to clear it before conceiving so you start clean. If its recurring again and again, do tell the doctor because sometimes it needs proper checking. Dont keep ignoring it.
