My thyroid is under control with medicine and my reports are normal now. We want to start trying but im a little scared if it will make conceiving harder. Anyone here conceived with controlled thyroid?
Listen, if your thyroid is controlled, it's as good as not having it. The only rule is: the moment you test positive, immediately see your gynac because they will likely increase your dosage as baby needs thyroid hormone for early brain development. Be proactive and you'll be completely fine.
I had controlled hypothyroidism and had an absolutely smooth pregnancy with a normal delivery! Once TSH is in the normal range, it doesn't cause any major issues in conceiving. Just keep your mindset positive and don't stress yourself out with unnecessary worries.
Arey bilkul nahi! I had hypothyroidism too, and my doctor just kept adjusting the dosage throughout my pregnancy. Today my son is a naughty toddler running around the house. Just trust your doctor, get your TSH checked every month, and stay relaxed.
TSH control me hai toh conceiving me koi badi dikkat nahi aati, bas regular blood test ka dhyan rakhna padta hai. Thyroid ki tablets ka monthly expense bhi bohot chota hai, and it's a very simple daily habit. Eat healthy, keep a check on your weight, and you'll conceive easily.
Not at all, as long as your TSH levels are under 2.5 (which is usually the target when trying to conceive). Just set a morning alarm, take your thyroid pill on an empty stomach, and wait 30 mins before having tea. It's a very manageable routine, won't affect your career or pregnancy plans if managed systematically.
Currently rolling around in my 3rd trimester and let me tell you, I conceived within two months with controlled thyroid! Once your TSH is under control with that tiny morning pill, your body behaves normally. Just remember to take your dose on time and don't sleep off like I did half the time.
