My breasts have become heavier and thoda sore in this trimester. Sleeping without bra feels uncomfortable but with one also feels tight. What do you all do at night?
I just delivered recently, and during my pregnancy, I mostly wore a soft, non-wired bra at night. My breasts felt so heavy and sensitive, especially in the later months. It actually gave me a lot of relief and helped me sleep better. Just make sure it's not tight or uncomfortable.
Beta, this is completely your choice. If your breasts are feeling heavy or sore, a soft, comfortable maternity or nursing bra can offer support and make you feel much better. Just ensure it's not too tight and doesn't have any underwire. Your comfort is the most important thing right now.
Oh god, I freaked out about this too! My breasts got so tender and heavy, I couldn't even stand a sheet touching them. My gynac said it's totally up to your comfort. If wearing a soft, non-wired bra helps you sleep better, then go for it. If not, don't force it. It's all normal changes.
It's entirely optional and depends on your comfort. Many women find a soft, wire-free bra helpful for support as breasts get heavier and tender. If you're comfortable without one, that's fine too. There's no medical 'should' or 'shouldn't'.
For personal comfort, if you feel better with support, a soft, non-wired maternity bra is fine. However, if you have any concerns or experience any discomfort, it's always best to quickly ask your gynac during your next visit. They can advise you on what's best.
By the third trimester, my breasts felt like they had their own zip code, yaar! I started wearing a super soft, loose sports bra type thing to bed. Anything that helped me get even an hour of comfortable sleep was a win. Do whatever makes you least uncomfortable!
