Should papaya be avoided by men when trying to conceive?
We are trying since 3 months and my MIL keeps saying papaya is bad even for my husband. Matlab is there any truth in this or just gharwala gyan? Pls share if anyone actually knows.
Oh no, it's totally fine for husbands to have it! Ripe papaya is actually very healthy 😋. Just avoid raw papaya salads if you want to be extra cautious, but otherwise stay happy and relaxed!
According to my tracker apps, papaya contains an enzyme that might impact sperm motility if eaten in massive quantities. But honestly, a little bit here and there doesn't do much harm to men. Still, better to limit it till you conceive just to be safe.
Honestly, there's no major clinical proof that men need to completely avoid it. Just make sure he's eating healthy overall. If you guys are highly concerned, a quick chat with your fertility doctor will clear all doubts.
Don't worry so much, dear. For men, papaya doesn't pose any big risk like it does for us. Just tell him to eat a balanced diet and stay active, everything will work out perfectly.
When we were trying, I felt so anxious about every single food item my husband ate. But later I realized we overstressed about simple things like papaya. Just focus on staying happy together, it will happen soon.
Arey actually no, yaar! It's mostly pregnant women who are told to avoid raw papaya because of uterine contractions. Men can eat ripe papaya normally, nothing to worry about unless they are eating it daily in crazy amounts.
