Me and my husband are a bit confused about this. Im in 2nd trimester and everything is normal so far, but we dont want to do anything that could harm the baby. is it ok to continue or better to avoid? curious what others were told.
I was told to avoid it because of some complications in my pregnancy. So it really depends on your situation. Please dont go by general advice, ask your own doctor since they know your reports.
For a normal healthy pregnancy its generally safe and you dont have to avoid it. But if you have any complications like bleeding, placenta issues or risk of preterm labour, your doctor may advise against it. Best to ask your own gynac about your specific case.
In most normal pregnancies its fine, baby is well protected. The cases where its avoided are specific medical ones your doctor will flag. So if no one told you otherwise, you are probably okay, but a quick check with the gynac settles it.
