What antibiotic eye drops are safe during pregnancy?
My eye has been red and a bit irritated since two days. Im 22 weeks and scared to put anything without asking. Planning to call my gynac but wanted to hear if others faced this too.
There are pregnancy safe options for sure, but which one depends on what infection you have. I wont name any here because the wrong drop can be risky. A doctor visit will sort it fast.
Antibiotic drops need a prescription, dont guess names. When I had an eye infection my gynac and an eye doctor together chose a safe one. Go that route, its quick.
Please dont pick any eye drop on your own, not even ones you used before. Some are fine in pregnancy and some are not. Show your doctor what is wrong with the eye, they will prescribe a safe one.
I would never use eye drops without asking now, even otc ones made me nervous in pregnancy. Just see a doctor, its better than worrying. They will give the safe option for sure.
