Just found out im pregnant, only about 5 weeks and its my first time so im clueless honestly. Everyone at home is giving different advice and im getting confused. Can the experienced mommas tell me what i should and shouldnt be doing right now?
Do start folic acid, eat well, rest, drink water. Dont take any medicine without asking, avoid heavy lifting, smoking, and too much travel jerks. Keep it simple and book your first scan.
Eat home cooked warm food, stay calm and happy, my mother always said avoid stress. Papaya and very heavy work people avoid traditionally. But for medicines and serious things, trust your doctor.
Realistically: take your folic acid daily, dont skip meals even when busy, and keep a water bottle at your desk. Avoid late nights and over exertion. Fix your gynac appointments early so you dont scramble later.
My MIL had a hundred dos and donts haha. I followed the sensible ones, eat well, rest, no heavy work. For anything medical I just went with what the doctor said, kept it peaceful.
Stay positive and calm, that matters more than people realise. Eat nourishing food, rest well, and take your supplements. Take care of your mind too, not just the body.
I was so confused with do's and donts first time too! I just focused on rest, food, folic acid and avoiding random meds. Did you all also feel overwhelmed with all the advice from everyone?
