My gynac mentioned i have a small fibroid in my last scan and now im a bit worried what it actually means for the baby. Im 11 weeks and honestly dont fully understand it. If anyone has gone through this pls share how it went for you.
Dont let the word scare you. A fibroid is just a muscle lump, lots of women carry babies happily with them. Just keep your appointments regular okay and breathe.
Fibroids are basically non cancer growths in the uterus. Lot of women have them and still have totally normal pregnancies. I wont pretend to know your case, pls let your gynac monitor the size, thats the safest.
From what I read they are very common and most dont cause problems. But size and location decides everything so blanket advice is useless here. Best to ask your own gynac what your scan shows.
Many ladies here had fibroids and delivered fine, dont panic reading scary stuff online. Usually doctor just keeps an eye on them in scans. Sometimes they grow a bit in pregnancy, sometimes nothing happens.
I had a small fibroid and honestly it was okay but they watched it closely. If you ever get sharp pain over the fibroid area, dont wait, call your doctor. Position and size really matters so go by your gynac.
