Im a FTM and totally lost about all the scan appointments. My gynac mentioned a few but i didnt fully catch it. Which are the 3 main scans everyone gets done during the whole pregnancy?
Just a heads up, these three main scans do add to the cost so plan for them. I asked my hospital for a package which worked out cheaper. Worth budgeting because they are important checkups na.
My gynac scheduled the main three as the dating scan early on, the NT scan around 11 to 13 weeks, and the anomaly scan around 18 to 20 weeks. Some doctors add a growth scan later too. Each one checks different things about baby's development.
I tracked all my scans in an app so i never missed them. Roughly the dating one, the NT scan and the anomaly scan are the key ones. Your doctor may add more depending on your case, just follow their schedule.
I just had my anomaly scan and was so nervous before it. Seeing the baby on screen made me cry happy tears honestly. Did others feel emotional during their scans too?
