What are the benefits of saffron during pregnancy?
My MIL keeps telling me to have saffron during pregnancy for a fair baby. I wanted to know what are its actual benefits, if any. Is it really good for the baby's health?
Kesar milk is a great natural way to relax your muscles after your evening walks. Just ensure you only use a strand or two. I always ask my doctor before adding anything new to my diet, even simple things.
Everyone will tell you to drink kesar milk so the baby becomes fair, but honestly, that's just an old myth! Drink it because it tastes amazing and helps you sleep better, not for a fairness formula.
I used to have 1-2 strands of kesar in warm milk during my second trimester because my mother said it helps with digestion and getting a good night's sleep. It worked nicely for me, but everyone's body is different.
Saffron is great for digestion and mood swings, but only use 1-2 strands in warm milk at night. Don't overdo it because excess heat is not good. And please don't believe those fair baby myths, it's all genetics.
I couldn't stand the smell of milk because of my bad morning sickness, so I actually avoided kesar doodh in my first trimester. If you can digest it, it is known to help with sleep and digestion, but don't force yourself if you feel nauseous.
