What are the causes of high blood pressure in pregnancy?
At my last checkup my BP was a little on the higher side and doc told me to keep an eye on it. Im 28 weeks. Just trying to understand kyun hota hai this in pregnancy, koi background nahi tha pehle se.
You can try keeping it in check by cutting down on outside salty food, drinking coconut water, and doing light breathing exercises. But high BP can be very risky for the baby. If you feel dizzy, have a severe headache, or see blurry spots, please contact your doctor immediately.
Honestly, the sheer panic of thinking about labor and sleepless nights is enough to raise anyone's BP! But jokes aside, things like excess salt or just hormonal changes cause it. Please get it checked by your gynac because high BP during pregnancy is nothing to mess with.
I panicked so much when my BP machine showed a high reading in my 7th month, I thought it was preeclampsia! But my doctor told me I was just stressed and dehydrated. Once I drank water and rested, it came back to normal. Just stay calm and let your doc check it.
High BP can happen due to stress, weight gain, or sometimes it's just gestational hypertension. Keep a digital BP monitor at home to save on daily clinic visits, but don't skip the routine tests your doctor prescribes. It's better to pay for a few blood tests now than deal with emergency hospital admission costs later.
Carrying twins made my BP shoot up like crazy, probably because my body was working double shift! Stress, poor sleep, and genetics are big triggers. If your BP is high, don't try to manage it alone, let your doctor handle it before you pop!
