My bp came a bit low at last checkup and i keep feeling dizzy when i stand up suddenly. Doc said its normal but i wanna understand why it happens in pregnancy. Anyone faced this?
Please be very careful with dizziness, dear. If you feel faint or have even a little spotting or severe cramps with this low BP, please go to the hospital right away. It's always better to over-communicate with your doctor than regret later.
Same here, even my BP was always on the lower side during my second trimester. Just keep yourself hydrated and don't stand up too fast from the bed, it helps.
Actually, it's mostly hormonal changes that make your blood vessels dilate, leading to low BP. I used to carry coconut water to office and made sure I didn't skip meals. Just track it regularly and mention it to your gynac during your next visit.
Haan na, mere saath bhi starting ke months me low BP ka problem thoda ho gaya tha. Body changes so much during this time. Just rest well and ask your doc if you need some multi-vitamins or extra salt, ho na.
Look, low BP is very common in the first two trimesters because blood vessels expand. But please don't self-medicate or guess. Just drink enough water, eat small meals, and if you feel dizzy or blank out, call your gynac immediately.
Managing low BP with twins was a daily circus, honestly. My doc said the body is pumping so much blood for two babies that pressure drops. Keep some nimbu paani or electoral close by, it really helps when you feel suddenly weak.
