What are the changes in breast in early pregnancy?
Im like 5 weeks and noticing my breasts feel heavy and bohot sore, even touching hurts. Is this a normal early sign or am i overthinking? curious what others felt in the starting weeks.
I just delivered two months ago, and honestly, the heavy, tingly feeling in my breasts was my very first clue even before the test! They also grew a whole cup size almost immediately, so be prepared to buy comfy sports bras.
Oh, expect them to feel super heavy, sore, and swollen, like PMS but times ten! Don't stress too much about how they look, it's just the hormones doing their thing. Go buy a seamless bralette, thank me later!
You'll likely experience soreness, visible blue veins, and darkening of the skin around the nipples due to estrogen and progesterone. While these are standard hormonal changes, if you notice any unusual lumps or severe unilateral pain, it's always best to consult your doctor.
For me, the soreness and heavy feeling started very early, which was both reassuring and scary. Please be very gentle with yourself, your body is doing beautiful, hard work to prepare for your little miracle.
According to the tracker apps I used, breast tenderness and darkening of the areola are classic week 4-6 symptoms. My app suggested switching to non-wired maternity bras early on, and it was a total lifesaver!
I've been reading about this too while we are trying. Some ladies mention their nipples become very sensitive and dark, even in the first few weeks. It feels a bit embarrassing to notice, but it's a natural change.
