What are the dangers of high blood pressure during pregnancy?
My reading came a bit high today and the nurse looked concerned, now im a little scared. Im in my 7th month. just want to understand what risks it can cause for me and baby. planning to discuss with gynac at next visit.
It can be serious yaar but with proper doctor follow up most women manage it fine. Just keep an eye on swelling and headaches and tell your gynac. You are taking care, thats what matters.
I had high BP in my 7th month and honestly pls dont take it lightly. It can affect the baby's growth and lead to preeclampsia if not watched. My gynac monitored me every week, so if your numbers are high please call your doctor immediately.
My doctor explained that high BP can reduce blood flow to the placenta and sometimes cause early delivery. She told me swelling, headache and blurry vision are warning signs to report fast. They checked my urine for protein too at every visit.
Keep your salt low and dont skip your BP checkups, thats the main thing. With my second one my BP went up and regular monitoring caught it early. Dont stress yourself either, that also pushes it up.
