First time pregnant and totally new to all this. My gynac mentioned some scans coming up but i didnt note properly. Can someone tell which all scans are done through the 9 months?
The early scans are so important, especially the viability scan around 6-8 weeks to confirm heartbeat, which was so crucial for me after my previous loss. Then there's the NT scan, anomaly scan, and growth scans later on. Each one gives you little milestones, but try not to stress too much, just follow your doctor's advice.
From my experience, usually you have an early scan to confirm pregnancy and estimated due date. Then the NT scan, which is important for checking certain markers. The anomaly scan is a big one to check all organs. Later, they might do growth scans to see how baby is doing. Your doctor will guide you through each one.
Meri saas kehti thi ki har scan bahut zaroori hai. Pehla toh heartbeat dekhne ke liye, phir NT scan important hota hai for baby's development. Aur 5th month mein hota hai jo anomaly scan, woh sabse main hai for any issues. Baaki doc batate rehte hain growth ke liye.
My scans were like little goals to get through the morning sickness! First, the early dating scan to see the tiny blob and hear the heartbeat. Then NT scan, and the main one, the anomaly scan where they check everything. And then, as you get further, maybe a few growth scans. It's a journey, take it one scan at a time!
I remember all the scans! They felt like milestones. There's the initial one to confirm the pregnancy, then the NT scan, which checks for some developmental things. The big one is the anomaly scan, where they check all of baby's organs. After that, usually just growth scans. Don't worry, your doctor will tell you exactly which ones are needed.
Oh, the scans are truly magical moments, seeing your baby grow! There's usually a dating scan early on, then the important NT scan for screening, and the big anomaly scan around 18-22 weeks where you see all the little organs. Later, they do growth scans. Each scan brings so much joy and reassurance.
Okay, so typically you'll have an early confirmation scan, then the Nuchal Translucency (NT) scan for screening in the first trimester. The most comprehensive one is the Anomaly scan in the second trimester, around 18-22 weeks. After that, usually growth and doppler scans are done in the third trimester. Your gynac will make a schedule for you.
