Newly pregnant here and everyone keeps saying first trimester, second trimester etc but someone mentioned four stages na. Im a bit confused, isnt it just three? Can someone explain what the four are properly.
I am in my second trimester and only now understanding these stages properly. Did anyone else feel each phase quite different in how their body felt? The first one was the hardest for me honestly.
Easy way to remember, three trimesters of about three months each, then the birth itself. Each trimester has its own changes and tests. Dont memorise, just follow your doctor's schedule and you will sail through.
I used a tracker app and it showed me first, second, third trimester plus the delivery stage. Honestly the app made it so easy to understand week by week. You can download one, it really helps to visualise.
My gynac explained it mostly as trimesters, three of them, and then she counted labour as the fourth stage when actual delivery happens. So roughly first 12 weeks, then till 27, then till birth, and labour itself. Different books split it differently so dont stress over exact lines.
