Just got my positive test this week and honestly i feel a bit lost, so many do's and dont's floating around. I want to be careful from the start itself. What are the basic things you all followed especially early on?
The basics are good nutrition, enough rest, regular doctor visits and avoiding risky foods and medicines without consulting. I followed my gynac's list rather than every online tip. When in doubt, ask the doctor, thats the safest precaution.
Along with good food and rest, I think staying calm and positive is a big one. I kept my surroundings peaceful and avoided stress as much as I could. A happy mom is the best gift for the baby.
Eat clean home food, take your supplements, dont skip check ups and avoid heavy lifting and smoking or alcohol. Stay active with light walks if allowed. And rest well, your body is doing a lot, listen to it.
Apart from health, I would say plan your check ups and tests in advance so costs dont pile up suddenly. I kept a small fund ready for scans and delivery. Eating simple home food is healthy and easy on the budget too.
