What are the reasons for late period other than pregnancy?
My period is a few days late this month, and I'm getting a little worried. I did a home test, and it was negative, so I'm wondering what else could be causing this delay. Has anyone else experienced this?
Honestly, before I got pregnant, my periods were always delayed because of exams and work stress! Stress, weight changes, or even a simple hormonal imbalance can delay it. I am currently pregnant, but I remember how frustrating those negative tests were when my period was late; does anyone else feel like their body plays tricks on them?
Please don't lose heart, dear. A delayed period can happen due to high stress, thyroid issues, PCOS, or even certain medications. Going through the long emotional journey of IVF taught me that our bodies are very sensitive to hormonal shifts. Take care of yourself, be kind to your mind, and gently consult a doctor if the delay is very long.
Aside from pregnancy, extreme stress, sudden diet changes, or hormonal shifts like thyroid issues can cause your period to be late. After my C-section and the long recovery process, my hormones were all over the place and my period was highly irregular for months. Be gentle with your body and give it time to balance out.
Ugh, late periods are the ultimate suspense thriller of a woman's life! If it's not pregnancy, it's usually stress, too much gymming, or just your hormones deciding to take an unannounced holiday. Don't worry, the moment you decide to wear your favorite expensive white pants, it will probably show up!
For me, before this pregnancy, my periods were often late due to stress and a change in lifestyle. I used to get so anxious every time, thinking it must be pregnancy and then getting disappointed. I am in my second trimester now, but did anyone else also have a history of irregular cycles that made predicting pregnancy so difficult?
