Im 36 weeks and its my first baby so im honestly clueless about how labour actually starts. Scared i might not recognise the real pain vs the false ones everyone talks about. Can u mommies share how it felt for u?
My labour started but baby wasnt coming down so I ended up with a c-section. The early signs for me were back pain and cramps in waves. Honestly just call your doctor the moment it feels regular, they guide you when to come.
Beta, when the tightening becomes regular and stronger, thats your signal, dont second guess it. Keep your hospital bag and your doctors number ready by now. You will know, and they will guide you in.
Real labour is regular tightening that doesnt stop when you rest, and it slowly increases. Also water breaking or a show. If you feel water leaking, regular strong pains or any bleeding, go to hospital fast.
For me the contractions started coming in a regular pattern and getting stronger and closer, thats how I knew it was real labour. Lower back pain and tightening of the belly too. Once they were regular I went to hospital.
Im noting all this down for later, it makes me nervous na. So false pains stop on rest but real ones dont? Thanks, this is actually helpful to know early.
My amma kept telling me the back pain coming in waves was the real start, and she was right. But I still rang my doctor to confirm before leaving. Trust the elders but let the doctor decide when to go na.
