Just got my positive last week, still cant believe it! I have my first gynac appointment coming up and want to know what all tests they usually do through the whole pregnancy. Like to be a bit prepared. thanks in advance.
My doctor gave me a whole schedule, blood group, CBC, sugar, thyroid, urine, plus scans like dating, NT and anomaly scan around 18-20 weeks. Glucose test came later for diabetes. She explained each one, so ask yours for the list.
My app listed the standard tests trimester wise which helped me keep track. Bloods, scans, sugar test mainly. But I always matched it with what my gynac actually ordered for me.
There are quite a few across the trimesters so I asked for the full list upfront to plan costs. Some hospitals have packages which saved money. Doing them on time avoids extra repeat charges.
I felt overwhelmed by the number of tests at first honestly. But once my doctor explained why each was needed, I felt calmer. They are all to keep you and baby safe.
