What are the things should be avoided during pregnancy?
First time pregnant and honestly everyone is giving me different advice, dont eat this dont do that, im so confused now. Just want a clear idea of what to actually avoid. Can experienced mommas help?
Beta avoid heavy lifting, sitting too long in one place and too much travel in early days. No outside raw food. We also kept away from raw papaya. Eat fresh home cooked food and rest properly, that is the real secret.
Beyond the usual no alcohol, no smoking and no raw food, also avoid ignoring warning signs like bleeding, severe pain or reduced baby movement, those need a doctor right away. Get a personalised list from your gynac, especially if your pregnancy is high risk like mine was.
Main ones, no alcohol, no smoking, no raw or undercooked stuff, limit caffeine, avoid unpasteurised milk and too much papaya pineapple in early days. Also no self medication. Other than that eat well and rest. I followed this both times, simple enough.
Common avoids are alcohol, smoking, raw eggs and meat, very high caffeine, and any medicine without doctor okay. Also heavy lifting and overexertion. But honestly each pregnancy is different so ask your gynac for a list specific to you.
My app had a nice list, basically alcohol, smoking, raw seafood and meat, high mercury fish, too much caffeine, unwashed produce and self prescribed medicines. I just cross checked anything doubtful with my doctor before eating or taking it.
