We just got married and not planning baby right now, so trying to understand the cycle properly. Honestly i get confused which days are actually risky. Can someone explain how you track it?
Honestly the calendar method is not very accurate, especially if periods are irregular. If you are trying to avoid pregnancy, please talk to a gynac about proper options instead of just counting days. Safer that way.
I learnt this while trying to conceive actually, the fertile or so called unsafe days are around ovulation. I started tracking with an app and it helped me understand my own cycle better. Every body is different though.
I used to track ovulation on an app, it predicts the fertile window for you which is the unsafe window if you are avoiding. Combine it with how your body feels. But remember predictions are estimates na, not guarantees.
Just adding, if your cycles are irregular like mine due to pcos, this calendar thing is really hard to rely on. Ovulation can shift a lot. I would suggest checking with a doctor rather than guessing days.
Unsafe days basically mean your fertile window, around ovulation, usually mid cycle. For a regular 28 day cycle its roughly day 10 to 17. But cycles vary a lot, so this is not 100 percent reliable for avoiding pregnancy.
