What asthma medications are safe during pregnancy?
Im asthmatic since childhood and now 9 weeks pregnant. Bohot tension ho rahi hai about my inhaler, dont want to stop it suddenly but also scared it might harm baby. Planning to ask my gynac next visit but wanted to know what others with asthma did during pregnancy.
Ugh, pregnancy and meds, it's such a maze na? Honestly, everything I took before, my gynac made me double-check. Best to ask *your* doc specifically about asthma meds, don't rely on just anyone's experience. My brain is still mush from sleepless nights, so I mostly remember 'ask the expert!' haha.
My husband is a doc, and he always says never to self-medicate or assume old meds are fine during pregnancy. You need to list out all your exact asthma meds, including inhalers, and show them to your gynac. They will either confirm safety or switch you to a pregnancy-safe alternative. Better to be safe na.
Hi! With my gestational diabetes, I had to be super particular about everything, not just food. For asthma meds, it's really crucial you talk to your own gynac and pulmonologist. They'll know exactly what's safe and what dosage is right for you, don't risk it with general advice from here.
Oh, this is such a good question! I'm planning soon and actually had a similar thought about my allergy meds. From what I've heard, it's really important to discuss all your current medications with your gynac *before* or right at the start of pregnancy. They'll tell you which ones are safe to continue.
Haha, if I knew all the safe meds during pregnancy, I'd be a doctor, not scrolling here at 3 AM! Seriously though, this is one of those things where you absolutely *have* to ask your gynac. Every pregnancy is different, and they'll know your history. Don't play guessing games with your lungs, my dear!
