What bipolar medications are safe during pregnancy?
I have been on medication for bipolar for a while and now we are planning a baby. Im really worried about what is safe to continue. I will definitely talk to my doctor before changing anything, but wanted to hear from anyone whos been through this.
Please dont decide this from internet or comments, this is serious. Some of these medicines need to be changed during pregnancy and only a psychiatrist with your gynac can decide. Stopping suddenly is also risky, so talk to them first.
I cant advise on these medicines at all sorry. But I just want to say take care of yourself and keep your doctors in the loop, both of them. Sending you strength.

Mental health meds in pregnancy really need proper medical guidance, every case is different. Your psychiatrist will balance your health and baby safety. I would honestly trust only the doctor here, not us.
