First pregnancy here and im so confused about what kind of bleeding is okay and what isnt. I keep reading scary stuff online and it makes me panic. Just want to hear from women who actually went through the first few weeks.
My gynac said light spotting, often pinkish or brownish and not filling a pad, can be normal in early weeks, like implantation bleeding. What is not normal is bright red heavy flow, clots or bleeding with cramps. She told me to report anything beyond light spotting straight away.
Honestly I would let the doctor decide whats normal rather than judging at home. A little spotting was fine in my case but my friend's needed urgent care. When in doubt about any bleeding, just call your gynac, they would rather you check.
Light brown or pink spotting that stops on its own is usually the harmless kind. Bright red, heavy or painful bleeding is the kind you act on immediately. Both times I just informed my gynac at the first sign and let them guide me.
